Conference Hotel
From LinuxTag Public Wiki
LinuxTag is most fun, if most speakers stay in one place. Therefore we have a partnership with the art'otel berlin city center west in Berlin. The hotel's address is
- Lietzenburger Straße 85
- 10719 Berlin
- openstreetmap
The travel time from the hotel to the venue is about 30 minutes.
It's centrally located in the hip district of Berlin Charlottenburg, near a number of famous Berlin attractions and ideally located to discover Berlin’s other sights easily by using the many public transport options in the area. The nearest U-Bahn station is Uhlandstrasse, only a short walk away, which is being served by the U1. The closest bus station from the hotel is at Lietzenburger Strasse/Uhlandstrasse, served by bus 249.
Room Booking Procedure for accepted Speakers
Speakers may book rooms for themselves in the speakers hotel using the the virtual Conference Centre till Thursday, April 19th, 2012, 15:00 (GMT). After that deadline we cannot guarantee your room. To book your room, enter your arrival and departure time in the vCC:
We have a contingency of complimentary rooms reserved. These are limited and depend on conditions outlined in the Call for Papers. To be eligible, drop us a note in the comment field of the vCC booking form, explaining your situation. Don't mind the form initially stating "LinuxTag covers 0 EUR, you pay all the rest". This changes once we processed your request. If you book your room in time via the vCC, you are done and the room is granted. A confirmation is not automatically generated after you enter your booking, since it needs manual inspection. You will receive a confirmation including directions and maps a few days after the deadline.
You are invited to stay at the conference hotel even without a scholarship from LinuxTag e.V., but have to pay for it in that case. We appreciate if you ask your employer or any other sponsor to pay for your hotel room. That enables us to support speakers with no supporting organization as LinuxTag's travel budget is limited.
