LinuxTag 2014 takes place at STATION Berlin.

Buildings and lecture halls

We use together with droidcon the buildings 4, 5, and 6.

The back part of building 4 (lower floor) hosts five lecture halls Stage A, B, C, D, and E with a capacity of approximately 90 pax each. Building 5 (upper floor) hosts mainly the two bigger Stages 11 and 12 with a capacity of approximately 500 and 300 pax, respectively. This stage naming scheme is now fixed.

Buildings 4, 5 and 6 (lower floor)

Please note that about half of the lecture halls are used by droidcon sessions and half by LinuxTag. For a more specific usage plan see below.

Timeslots

LinuxTag and droidcon take place from Thursday, May 8 to Saturday, May 10, 2014.

The exhibition halls are accessible for staff and visitors starting from 8 am. Registration is staffed from 8:30 am. Doors open at 9 am for visitors. A joint welcome address starts 9:45 am. The regular talks, sessions, keynotes, ... start at 10:00 am.

During daytime time is sliced into four blocks, starting every other two hours starting at 10 a.m. The last 30 minutes of each block are breaks.

Block 0: 9:45 - 9:55 Joint Welcome + Housekeeping information
Block 1: 10:00 - 11:30
Break
Block 2: 12:00 - 14:00
Break
Block 3: 14:00 - 15:30
Break
Block 4: 16:00 - 18:00

Block 2 is used for keynotes: 12:00 the LinuxTag keynote takes place, 13:00 the droidcon keynote takes. Lunch is served from 11:45 - 14:15 (take it or give it a few minutes longer).

In the evening of Thursday and Friday only LinuxTag sessions will take place (Staurday evening is possible but currently not planned) on all stages 11, 12, and A - E. We plan mainly more interactive and tutorial like sessions from 18:30 to 22:00. Attendance of these sessions is either free of charge or charged with only a nominal fee like 10 Euro. During the evening the exhibition in hall 4 and 6 is not accessible/open.

Block 5: 18:30 - 20:00
Break
Block 6: 20:30 - 22:00

On Thursday evening, a joint party/social event will take place in and around Stages T + J.
